When PC Sally Burton is called to the scene of a routine suicide it seems like the perfect case for her – routine. Sally’s no high-flier, just a regular bobby working in a small local force on the Yorkshire coast, yet it doesn’t take her long to suspect that the woman, lying dead at the bottom of a cliff, didn’t jump at all. As she digs deeper into the case, whilst struggling against the tide of other tragic, violent and sometimes comical events, she uncovers a terrible secret pertaining to her Jane Doe. A frightening cat and mouse investigation turns into a battle of survival, one that Sally must not lose, lest evil prevail.
