Helen finds herself entangled in pickleball and death in her quiet retirement community in Florida. Her husband suddenly dies of a heart attack. Her pain is eased when a lost dog runs up to her on the beach. Covered in sand and visibly thin, Helen rescues the scruffy dog she names Misty. Misty gives Helen a new purpose in life and they become inseparable. Walking Misty one morning they stumble across a dead body in a retention pond. That is when Helen’s world is turned upside down. A series of unusual incidents has Helen fearing for her safety. She joins forces with her best friend Penny, a single divorcee, to solve the mystery of the dead body and discover the source of the threats. Together they uncover secrets from the past and find themselves in more trouble then they could have possibly imagined. Their journey will have them discovering love again in the middle of the chaos. However, nothing will stop them from unburying to the truth.
