Miss Dimple and her fellow teachers-turned-sleuths are determined to find the killer. Although Prentice had recently broken up with her boyfriend, the most obvious suspect isn't always the right one: Prentice may have been keeping some secrets; and a local woman claims to have witnessed the whole abduction. Figuring out what really happened to Prentice is sure to be a challenge. But Miss Dimple has never been daunted by a challenge.

Atmospheric Southern Mystery

This series just gets better with each book and this fourth in the series is excellent. The book is still a cozy mystery but the cast of characters for this installment has expanded. What's more--the increasingly complex storytelling is engaging and evokes summer in the American south (Georgia) during WWII. Pam Ward's narration was perfect. Recommended if you like gossipy, homey stories about a community of quirky women doing their part to keep the hometown safe while the men are off at war. I think there is a fifth book coming next year. In the meantime this was a fun summertime listen.

Life on the Homefront.

I enjoyed the details of World War II on the homefront. We can learn so much about having a simpler life.
