I loved it!

Loved this story! In the beginning, I may have missed it… but needed more explanation on why the different accent. But, a ways in, I grasped it and loved it! I loved the characters and enjoyed their journey of letting go and finding each other! Give it a listen!

The most emotionally captivating characters!

This audiobook was very well done, the woman’s voice even sounded just as the MFC’s voice was described. Male voice was on point, too.

This story had the most emotionally deep characters I’ve encountered. Not only was it a “romance” but the mental and emotional struggle to overcome was on point in a way some books leave out. The unraveling process for each character came with a deep understanding of their weaknesses before healing, total green flag. The additional MBTI mention was gold, and created a richness to the collaboration between main characters and locked in their communication pattern. Well done!

Well written, well executed in narration. The story carried me through from beginning to end- I felt their pain, ache, and love jump right off the page.

I have two pages of highlights- there are some really great nuggets! Not just from the conversation between the characters, but for love and life too.

I’m really looking forward to the next several books in this series, I really enjoyed Clio & Dillion’s story and this author’s writing style. A+ on narration!

Mind Reader was just what I needed!

Mimika Cooney’s “Mind Reader” was a breath of fresh air that I needed in the romance book department! I grew to care for the characters and their wounds and vulnerabilities helped them to feel believable and relatable. I loved the rivals to lovers trope that was featured, but this time it felt different. Instead of insta-love the characters gradually deepened their relationship and grew to trust one another. There were some fun scenes like getting stuck inside a room at work together or doing an escape room. I also thought it was cool that Clio was good at perceiving other’s thoughts and emotions just by their facial expressions and tics. I was rooting for the characters every step of the way and thought the twists and turns made the book even more interesting. If you want a workplace romance book with meaningful relationships built on trust and a foundation, this is for you!

The narrators also did a fantastic job with the audiobook. Their voices were dynamic and expressive and definitely not dull to listen to. I definitely want to try out the ebook version next time I read it, perhaps even listen while I read. I look forward to the next book in the series!

a slow build love story with a modern feel

This audiobook was a really enjoyable listen! I really liked the back and forth between the two main characters and the slow build of their relationship. The work setting felt different and the mind reading part added a fun twist that kept me listening. The romance was quiet but meaningful, and I liked that it focused more on trust and emotional connection instead of instant attraction.

I really liked how it mixed work life, feelings, and romance. If you enjoy thoughtful conversations and a slow build love story with a modern feel, this audiobook is worth a listen.
