Resumen del Editor

Private investigator Milo Rathkey returns to the shores of Lake Superior and his boyhood home Lakesong, where his mother had been the cook. This time around, he co-owns the estate with his benefactor's son Sutherland McKnight. Milo moves from following wayward spouses to solving murders. Sutherland refers to Milo's unusual way of thinking as mind lint, but it works.

The clues are there. Only Milo sees them. Well, Milo and, maybe, you. Dress warmly. Duluth, Minnesota, is cold this time of year.

Pleasant discovery.

Great characters in some very clever mysteries with a fair amount of humor. Easy listen and very well narrated. Will be following this series.

great set

This is an entertaining set of mysteries. Milo is an engaging and captivating PI. He's quirky and draws you in with his humor, wit, and unique ways if sleuthing. By the end of this set I was a huge fan of Milo, as I'm sure anyone that listens to this will be too. I also enjoyed the bonus relationships that grew along with each story. John knew what he was doing. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

Milo is unique!

Milo is the funniest, and in many ways smartest, detective I have read in a long time! The narrator is Milo - perfect casting.

Hold onto your seats. This one keeps you guessing

Milo Rathkey former Police detective turned PI has moved back to the home he once lived in where his mother was once the cook. The twist, the former owner left his estate to both his son Sutherland McKnight and Milo. As Milo learns to live within his new means, live has some new twists to throw at him involving both his old and new acquaintances mixing both his worlds.

Tom Lennon makes this world come alive as he leads us through the new mysteries in store for both Sutherland and Milo. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Great story lines / bad narration

Narration was horrible. In an attempt to read every word exactly as written the narration was not natural or fluid.

terrible

it seemed as though half the book had nothing to do with the murder and the Mystery but was taken up by pointless rambling chapters about eating breakfast or dinner or hanging around with the kids next door. while you could understand the narrator his voice is a little bit of whiny and his expression sounded a little like he is reading to children. seemed like the climax came right out of thin air. and wasn't really that climactic and a way. I could have bailed anytime during this first book but decided to give it a chance. I will not bother with the other two books in this compilation. no idea who gave it decent ratings. or why.
