Six months after the unexpected death of her husband, Carmel-by-the-Sea’s deputy chief of police, Millie Dickens is still trying to come to terms with her loss.

Grief and hope
I’ve followed Millie and Damien’s life from the beginning, and I’ve been there for all the ups and downs of their relationship. This book truly begins Millie’s journey, On one hand I’m saddened by the loss, but inspired by determination and love. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Millie. If you haven’t read the entire series, don’t miss out. You’ll love their adventures.

Great performance gives life, depth, suspense.

MILLIE DICKENS Private Investigator is an engrossing, charming, exciting and emotional story that carries the reader on a rollicking ride.
Great news! The audiobook version is even more enthralling, affecting, and suspenseful than the print versions are.
What makes the audio version even better than other versions?
NARRATION is the answer! The audiobook is not merely a reading aloud of the text! The print version compared to the audio version is like a static black-and-white photo compared to a movie in technicolor.
Narrator Erin R. Holmes gives us a performance that brings every character to life and gives every situation context, depth and immediacy. When listening to this audiobook, we experience the joys, aggravations, and sorrows of Millie Dickens and the entire cast of characters as they find their way through the mystery.
