Five years ago, Amy Dawes was attacked and snatched from her bedroom. Since then, her mother, Detective Cait Dawes has never been the same. Even her fractured marriage is hanging on by a thread. Then, Cait and her partner Marcus Roper are called to a grisly murder scene which brings them to Jean Boon, a suspect who has more than one secret beneath her harmless exterior. For Cait and Marcus, the world they’ve always known is about to change. They discover a whole new race of people with a terrible thirst for human blood. The identity of Amy’s killer could hinge on Cait and Marcus walking this new and dangerous path. For Cait, it is the fight of her life to finally find peace before she self-destructs.
