In Mestizos Come Home! author Robert Con Davis-Undiano documents the great awakening of Mexican American and Latino culture since the 1960s that has challenged this omission in collective memory. As a first generation Mexican American this book broadened my view of who I am. Please take the time to read or listen to the book.

Reads like a textbook

I wanted so badly to like this. I would recommend this as a textbook or if you know absolutely nothing about the subject. I expected it to display new ideas or an interesting outlook; instead it was a ton of repetition, quoting other Latinx writers, & breaking down their work. The monotonous tone made it that much harder to get through.
