Perfect romance palette cleanser

Pleasant, charming and whimsical romance. Good character growth. Narrators voice is in a pretty high register, but I got used to it.

Another great Talia Hibbert book

A quick and heartwarming listen. A story of two people who have to battle the trauma from their childhoods that made them believe they weren’t able to have love. I love that despite the deep issues the mmc had it was obvious he still had a lot of affection for the fmc and cared for her. His trauma was not used as an excuse to treat her poorly like in most books with this trope. Once again I could definitely feel the affection between the two leads and the story was extremely enjoyable to listen to.

Lovely quick listen

I love Talia Hibbert novels. I love the imperfections and humanness of the characters. I love how they discover their flaws and work to overcome them this was a great short read.

Cute. Not very spicy. HEA. Easy listen. One & done. Wish I would have used a library rental credit instead of an audible credit.

No snow for these hotcakes!

There will be no white Christmas for Cash and Bailey. They are too hot and all of the snow will melt!!! Are you kidding?!

Cash is this hot shot tattoo artist who hates frilly coffee, but requests the coffee shop where Bailey works just to see her. Bailey quits the coffee shop because her boss is a butthead and tries to get her to kick out her homeless friend from the warmth of the shop. So Cash puts up Bailey's friend in a hotel, and offers her a job. Bit of a white knight complex, but I'll forgive it because Cash was working through some pretty big trauma.

Cash puts Bailey on a bit of a pedestal, and she squashes so satisfyingly. They have a really cool tattoo scene. I could gush. But it's good. Quick and sweet and hot.

Two hurt people that chose to not hurt people

The narrator was hard to listen to with the different inflections that seemed too dramatic for me to enjoy listening to. Once able to focus on the literary art of it all, beautiful, captivating. The duality of pain for these two individuals that were fighting against the trauma guards they put around their heart and in the minds. Talia did it again.

Cute story but didn’t like the narration

This was a typical Talia Hibbert romance, which I always enjoy. Perhaps a bit cheesier than some of her others, but overall enjoyable. I just couldn’t get into the narration. Everything was weirdly high pitched and whiny.

Sweet Christmas Tale

I enjoyed the language in this book. It was very flowery and romantic. There was passion and a lot of tension.

Short and sweet. I loved this as I love literally everything else TH has written.

Forced accent.

Story was great!!! Narrator was not my favorite. Would have been better as a duet. The accent seemed very forced. Tags on audio said Scottish but it was more forced/fake chutney. Male character seemed written to have a deeper tortured voice than the no change high pitched narrator type voice used.
