When a jock with a troubled past meets a brainy tutor with a broken heart, they discover that love can heal even the deepest wounds in this captivating M/M romance novel.
Todd, a basketball star who is tired of burying his bisexuality, turns to the dating app CockyUnicorns after breaking up with his girlfriend. Rebranding himself as MegaEvolvedJock, he seeks a fresh start.
Enter Adrian, a hardworking grad student and campus tutor assigned to help athletes—despite his painful history with jocks. Fate brings Todd and Adrian together, and though Adrian tries to resist, he can't ignore the gentle, sweet athlete who gives him chills.
As their attraction grows, Todd becomes the target of a vicious act of revenge. Can their budding friendship turn into something deeper, or will it all fall apart?
Don't worry, it's a HEA, and though there's still some angst along the way. Trigger warnings: there are references to past bad actors: abusive relationships and degrading behaviors by past partners, as well as to abuse by an authority figure.

This book deserved a real narrator.
Second, while this has romance and sex in it, it is a psychologically heavy book with enough ambient foreshadowing of unspeakable crimes that no matter how lighthearted the book can be, the reader may find that there is enough anxiety built up around the eventual reveal that there’s a note of triggering even during the happy bits. Or not. Depends on how the writing affects you, but keep it in mind.
Keeping in mind that none of this series that I’ve been able to listen to (I am told more are on kindle) are all sweetness and light, this book does truly have feel-good and laugh out loud moments as well.
I doubt this is the right place to mention it, but all these books belong on audible, even if made accessible by the horrid virtual voice.
Not a mindless fluffy book or a total sex-fest, even though both those elements are strong. This book is more.
Silent shoutout to a supporting character with profound speech issues. Nice to see the representation.
All kinds of good, but trauma
