I wished it was better.

I give this book 3.5 stars......

I wish this series ended better than it did. I loved all the twists and turns and the fact that Kinsley finally grew a backbone, but some things happened that were a little far fetched, and Killian was an alpha in the first two books, and he came across soft in this book. The narrators did another great job.

Kinsley & Killian Face Real Danger Throughout!

This is the third book in the three part Maybe trilogy, which is part of the six part Maybe Definitely series. The second book ended in a cliffhanger.

From the first book, Kinsley Elizabeth Felton, twenty-one, had rooms full of designer clothes but she could take them or leave them. A model since age twelve, she was about to graduate from Yale with a degree in theater. She hadn't dated in three years, since breaking up with her high school boyfriend. She followed all the plans her father and grandfather carefully laid out for her, never wanting to be the cause of disappointment. She had caused too much trouble five years earlier. She wouldn't risk being the cause of more trouble for her family.

Her grandfather, Lee Felton, built the family empire from a single Las Vegas casino into nearly twenty properties. Felton Corporation has remained a family company for generations. As the sole heir, Kinsley understands that she is expected to agree to an arranged marriage to a man her father and grandfather feel will make a good CEO and husband.

Killian Byrne, thirty, has dark piercing eyes and reeks of sex-appeal. He doesn't smile much. He was VP of Operations at Felton Corporation and being considered for the CEO position. With a business degree from Harvard and some law school under his belt, he was recruited to Felton Corporation five years earlier. He formed a deep bond with Kinsley's father, Robert. Three years ago, he was informed about a plan for him to marry Kinsley and become CEO. Because of her age, he did not approach Kelsey.

The plan got turned upside down when Kinsley's father died of a heart attack suddenly, and Kinsley learned that the timetable had shifted and a marriage would take place in six months. She had always done as told, but said she can't do this. Even if his considerable appeal did tempt her to agree, Killian didn't want to marry her unless forced to for the CEO position.

The atmosphere was explosive when Kinsley and Killian met in Las Vegas. They danced around their feelings for one another throughout the book. Despite their incredible chemistry, both struggled with admitting to their developing feelings. But just when they accepted their love for one another, Kinsley was ripped from his arms and arrested by the FBI, and at the same time learned that Killian was the man responsible for her arrest. He had worked as an undercover agent for the FBI for five years trying to take down her family. The story closed with Kinsley in a jail cell.

From the second book, the couple struggled to find their way back together. They both have a sad history, and both stories are revealed. Killian faced a choice: Kelsey or the FBI. He could not be loyal to both. He was forced to testify against Kelsey. She refused to testify against her grandfather and adamantly believed no crimes had been committed. When all charges were suddenly dropped, she made her way back to Killian. But their happiness was short lived when Killian insisted that her father and grandfather were guilty. Kelsey begins a search for the truth. As it begins to unfold, the FBI has renewed interest. Killian tries to protect Kelsey from the ugly truth, the FBI, and the danger that follows her. Their story ends with the couple separated as Kinsley attempts to right the wrongs of her family.

In this book, Kinsley finds herself in Mexico. Her grandfather isn’t there, however. His business partners, the Marlows, allow her a chance to live if she proves herself. Her test: to kill Killian. Kinsley and Killian both face real danger throughout this final nail-biting book in the series as they attempt to bring down a dark and brutal trafficking ring. The couple enjoys a brief happy ending.

The Definitely trilogy, which is the second part of the six part Maybe Definitely series, follows. Scarlett, Kinsley’s best friend, gets her own story.

Killian and Kinsley’s love is tested in this book. Killian’s career is in ruins, and Kinsley discovers her privileged life was built upon lies. They don’t even have one another in this book. Kinsley is motivated by morals, while Killian desperately hopes to save the woman he loves, even if it means his own death. The world they move in is ugly, but they try to remain true to themselves.

There are a are few loose ends that merit mention. First, we know there is a new mole in the FBI, which is ominous since it could be one of Killian’s former coworkers. Second, Lee Felton’s entire scheme following his son’s death remains unexplained. It is unclear why he continued to push for Kinsley to marry Killian or how he meant to resolve that complication.

This book is well-written and plot-driven. The plot is suspenseful with unexpected twists and turns. It is written in first person. The POV alternates between Killian and Kinsley. I rate this book 4.5 stars.

As for the Audio: it is well-performed and consistent with the book.

Ahhhh... All Sorts of Crazy

I previously read the book but can say for certain that this book and series are FANTASTIC - whether you are reading, listening (where the narrators are great and make the story so awesome to listen to), or a bit of both! Kinsley and Killian are great characters! In this final installment to their story, you continue to get the heartache, heartbreak, joy, angst, love, suspense, and crazy. I don't recommend reading or listening to this without the other books first. I'm looking forward to Scarlet's story.

Great read

This series had it all. Suspense, romance and secrets. I am voluntarily reviewing this Audiobook.

What an ending!

This story gets better as it goes and so does the voice talent. Just when you think things can get worse, Killian and Kinsley are put to the test. The things that Kinsley finds out about her family make you love her even more. Great strong female lead and suspenseful story you don’t want to miss.

I loved this series!

Maybe Always by Ella Miles is the third book in the Maybe Series that I listened to on audio narrated by Keira Stevens and Wen Ross.

This was the first series of Ella’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved Kinsley and Killian’s love story. I cannot wait to dive into the spin off series to get Kinsley’s friend Scarlett’s story.

Keira and Wen did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life.

Well that escalated quickly...

This whole series had me listening nonstop from beginning to end without wanting to take a break. Killian definitely changed from the bad one, to stealing your heart in a way I didn't expect.
This third book captured you, and made you feel right alongside the characters. I even had to fight feeling sad when certain people just got left behind for the FBI! I didn't want to feel bad for the bad guys haha!
I would say there might need to be a trigger warning, not for myself, but for as hard as some of the chapters were to get through without tears, it may be even harder for some that have had these kinds of experiences.

Overall, wonderful series! Thank you, Ella!

What a finish!!

The third book in the Maybe Series concludes the story of Kinsley and Killian.
Kinsley started out as a young woman completely dominated by her controlling family. As the series progresses she slowly takes control of her life. In this story she is a total badass hero! She infiltrates her family's crime syndicate and puts an end to their illegal activities with some help from Killian.
Looking forward to hear Kinsley's best friend Scarlett's story in Definitely Yes.

Awful. Couldn't finish it ! It was a depressing

Awful. Couldn't finish it. The series was depressing. I do not recommend this trilogy.
