This audio book , book 5 in the series is second generation swat members. This story is about Louis part of the police department and a the Swat department officer. The heroine is Calloway , her father is a police officer also

Louise made the biggest mistake of his life when he had to go into the service , he broke up with Calloway. He gave some lame excuses. Calloway wont give Louise the time of day. Calloway needs blood monthly, she’s Anemic, I can relate my mom is fast forward yrs later when Calloway is at school as a nurse when she gets a visit from one of the students, he pretends he’s sick and asks for his mother to be called so she can come. There are lots of reasons to listen to this , it’s a second chance romance, the other is dead animals keep on showing up at Calloway outside door. Right when you think you know who the villian is , Lani Lynn throws you for a loop .

The performance of Mackenzie Cartwright, Teddy Hamilton is fantastic. They brought the story to life . I highly recommend this.

Calloway and Louis

Lani Lynn Vale never ceases to amaze me. This is a cute, sweet, suspenseful, and heartwarming journey to go on with Calloway and Louis. I absolutely enjoyed this book.
Teddy Hamilton is always an amazingly perfect narrator. Mackenzie Cartwright is just as good.

Perfection

Narration was perfect for the story. This has been a favorite and I have repeatedly listened to it. The story is cute, steamy at times, humorous at times and quite heartwarming which is why I have listened to it so much. Narrators were perfect for the characters and their voices did not irritate me at all. Recommend. No cliffhanger, no cheating, HEA.

The guy!!!!!

Honestly, this isn’t one of my most favorite books by LLV but it’s still Lani so it’s awesome!!! I feel as though I made a valiant effort to finish but the male just sounds like a surfer dude from California. Definitely NOT a native Texan. As a Texan it’s irksome, but I kept feeling like he’d pop out a “dude” or “bro” I made it through 4 hours but couldn’t do it anymore!!!!

Good story, great narration!

The narration was great by both narrators. The story was a second chance romance, which is my favorite. The secondary characters were so well described and were part of the story without taking over. Now I want to go back and read/listen to all the rest.

Another Great Story

Loved it as usual. Another grest nook by Lani Lynn Vale. Always fun to read the 2.0 Generation SWAT stories!!!!

These second generations definitely gave the OG a run for their money. I love love anything by author Lani Lynn Vale and she chose the best actors for this book.

(Louis & Calloway): disclaimer- I didn't find the wine 🤦🏾‍♀️😜. TRIGGERS: PTSD, military dogs, animal cruelty and abuse, stalking, mental illness, child neglect, suicide. Louis and Calloway are the kids of the first generation of the SWAT team in Kilgore. They have grown up together and dated in high school. And Louis donates his blood to her every month or so for her anemia. I wondered what their deal was in the previous book when they were caught arguing outside Ares' place. When Louis graduated high school, he wanted to join the Marines. Since Calloway still had another year left, Louis decided he wanted to break up and gave a b.s. excuse. Only when he came home on his first leave, he immediately regretted it and Calloway was not about that life. She let him have it and made him suffer her silence for years. Needless to say, there's a tube jump and Calloway is not the school nurse with her office across from Ares. Louis is now on the SWAT team and he wants her back. These two are so cute together and extremely hot but they also have great banter. However, happy bubbles can't always last without a little nightmare inducing drama. Someone has been leaving messages for Calloway on her front porch and he's not happy. Oh man, hang on to your hats because this one is a doozy. It will make you go through all the feels.
