like an ancient epic poem in prose form with Marie as the imperfect but conquering hero.Exquisitlely read by Adjoa Andoh the narrative (like most epics) poses questions about the morality of wielding power for one's own ends even though it helps others. rhythmic and sensual. a great listen.
