This book raises one question after another and does not give a single answer. Also, nothing really happens in the book, it seems like the entire story is just a setup for the next installment and it is really meant to be half a book. It would be nice if we got something, maybe why Clementine feels she absolutely must marry Gabriel, who really has no redeemable qualities. We know why Gabriel needs to marry her. She keeps changing her mind about him, waxing hot and cold, but she shows that she is a pushover for a little seduction, so it is hard to believe her when she denies any interest in him. Because of this, it is hard to feel any of the "will she, won't she?" vibes we are meant to feel. There is only one advancement of the plot in this book, and that comes in the form of a cliffhanger at the very end of the book.
As this is really the beginning (and unexciting) half of a book, I will read the second part to see if any of my questions are answered (Who is Tennyson's father? / Why must Clementine marry Gabriel? / Why did Gabriel's grandfather pick Clementine as his bride? And the list goes on.) I hope the second part doesn't leave us hanging.
I listened to the dual narration by Jacob and Alexandria Tyler. I enjoyed Alexandria's expression and pacing, but Jacob's narration fell a little flat for me, as his narration was slow with little expression.
I received an audiobook copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Very Broody

this was a very dark, broody, and breathy performance by both actors.
This is the first of a two part series where a patriarch passes and in order to get the company and estate Gabriel needs to marry Clementine. they need to stay married for 1 year and she will get 10 million dollars. this first part is a push and pull and the beginning to their story before they are officially married.

good story

I enjoyed the story and look forward to reading/listening to the next book to see what happens next! I love how fiesty Clementine is.

Love it!!

Love the suspense. It definitely kept me hooked into listening.. Clementine is full of sass and such a strong woman. Gabriel’s grandfather is controlling him even after his death. To listen to these two really was outstanding. Looking forward to listening to the next book.

Good start to a duet

Clementine is a feisty girl who just wants to live her life and bake cakes. When Gabriel picks the worse place ever to drop a major bomb I was hooked. It’s a good read with a lot of heart but don’t expect all your questions to be answered but don’t panic book two is the other side! Narrations was great and I can’t wait to continue!

Fantastic! Phenomenal!! Engrossing!!

Married to my Enemy book one, is the engrossing the story of Gabriel and Clementine. Gabriel’s grandfather has taken control of Gabriel’s life…even after he’s gone. Now, Gabriel will be forced to marry Clementine, a woman he’s never met…a woman with a child. She wants no part in this, but she is being railroaded into completing the union. But there are other forces at work here….those that want the union to never be completed. Plus, Clementine has secrets of her own…engrossing read!! Ends in a cliffhanger!!!

This Audiobook beautifully was narrated by Jacob Tyler and Alexandria Tyler….and what a performance they gave!!! I was already totally invested in this story…but, these two made it magical!!! Great performances!!

Great Listen

The narrators did a great job.
I loved Clementines sass, she’s not overly stubborn, but she still speaks her mind and doesn’t let herself be walked over.
Gabriel is a loner but damn hot. Doesn’t seem like a bad person at all, I loved that he never had any disgust towards Tenny and I love how he figured out quickly how much Clem affects him

Very very interesting cliff hanger, onto the next straight away.
