Marriage by Proxy

Carolyn thought she had it all—beauty, a booming law practice, and a coveted lifestyle in upscale Birmingham, Michigan. The only thing missing? A husband. As a last resort, she turns to her close friend and famed matchmaker, the enigmatic Alexandra Ivan. Alexandra promises to find her the perfect man—but does she go too far in delivering on that promise?

Misha Petrov, a charming and traditional Russian bachelor, knows Alexandra’s reputation well. When he signs on as her client, he doesn’t expect to fall head over heels so quickly. But he does—hopelessly and completely—for Carolyn.

Now, Carolyn must decide: can she trust a love born under such unconventional circumstances? Or will she walk away from the one man who might truly complete her?

Marriage by Proxy is a story of unexpected connection, bold choices, and the courage to believe in love when it feels too good to be true.

The story is okay but a bit rushed. More time was spent on the backstory than the formation of a connection. If this book had been narrated by real people it may have gotten 3 stars. You can get lost in who is talking because all the voices are the same and characters who are supposed to have accents do not.

Ok book made worse by virtual narration
