People of all ages can learn from Manners

When I first read the title of this book I thought what could I gain from reading it? I was not sure but I had heard about it from a friend and as I have discovered many times before, the old saying “you can’t judge a book by its cover” is very wise. So after reading the book I find it confirmed many beliefs I had learned about human interaction and communication but also reminded me of some I had forgotten. In this age of polarity and social media I appreciate how critically important it is to communicate to other human beings.
Mr. James channeling his mothers wisdom uses his personal experiences to tell stories that bring to light her lessons in life that makes them real for the reader. He begins the book with the 8 lessons his mamma taught him and his brother and ends it reminding the reader again. At the end of the book, I thought of Donald as a dear friend that had just shared some heart felt ideals he had learned and wanted to share with others.
Thank you Donald and please thank your mamma for me as well.

I enjoyed the authors perspective and had many take away from this book as a parent raising young children and as a young adult.

Manners Will Take You Where Brains And Money Won't reinforces my thought that kindness is contagious.
This book brings another level to mindfulness and being present. Manners are so much more than Please and Thank yous. Although this is not a handwritten thank you, I would still like to take my time and thank you Donald G. James, for this wonderful book!

Seems nice but not my pink robe

I appreciate the author but did not find the advice to be very helpful or insightful. Others may fare better with the book.
