Solid as always - Wilmington next??!

Was super late to the KD game, so I started with the graphic audibles and have been waiting on the finale to complete the series. BUT now I need the more! Wilmington Years in GA plz, cause Kate & Curren (of course) then all the add-ons.

Can we not make everything about motherhood?

Overall, the series was excellent and I appreciated the strong female lead. That said, I was disappointed that the final book leaned on the outdated trope of defining a woman’s worth by motherhood. It would be refreshing to see stories where a woman’s value isn’t tied to whether or not she has children because for many, either by choice or circumstance, that’s not their defining feature. This old trope is one of the reasons why women are held back and subjugated all over the world. It’s time we let women be their best selves whether that is with or without a child, and it starts with the stories we tell.

The end! But wait there are more books, yay! This is one of my favorite series and I’ve listened to this series a minimum of 3 times, and the dramatic version was great. I enjoyed the movie in my mind. Production was great and enjoyed all the narration of all the characters.
