Nick and Ruthie witness a gruesome murder, and Nick's pocket knife shows up at the crime scene the next morning. Nick has had problems in the past, and Inspector Kendall Straker remembers. He remembers Ned Leatherman, Nick's alcoholic step-father as well, and he doesn't believe the boy is a killer. The problem is that the knife - emblazoned with the name of the band Maelstrom - is the only clue he has.

Fantastic Book
Where does Maelstrom rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It pulls you in where you can actually see in your mind what Nick (the main character) sees and feels. This is going to be a reread!
What about Eric G. Dove’s performance did you like?
The man can really tell a story! Fantastic!
Who was the most memorable character of Maelstrom and why?
Nick (of course) because many thing he is going through (feelings.The feeling of being at a concert. Not the drugs though.) brings many memories back.
