 Die Kommissarin Isabelle Bonnet hat sich gegen die große Karriere in Paris und für ein Leben im beschaulichen Fragolin entschieden. Bald entdeckt sie Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen den beiden Verbrechen, die alle übersehen haben.

Excellent story telling - but this story stinks of stereotypes

Author perpetuates some myths about lesbians, but otherwise well written and performed story. A good series overall.

Listening again to this story, it’s even more annoying to hear the author - who is presumably an older straight man - trot out a tiresome theory that a straight young woman would change her sexual orientation to become a lesbian due to being sexually assaulted by men. That’s not how sexual orientation works. And even then, the author can’t find a way to give them a good life. It’s the old trope that gay love must end in tragedy. I hope the author will examine his prejudices and misconceptions.

And much as I admire the author’s writing skill and enjoy the narrator voice, I don’t recommend this particular book in this series.
