Pretty good overall performance.

The ending could have been better. But overall pretty enjoyable. The book builds on top of previous books

AI Omnipotence vs Human Emotions

Reynolds delivers again, Solid surroundings, tempting technology and crafty characters, Dreyfus in particular. Fine and hopefully not last installment of the series.

Brilliant story read by the best. Can wait for the next edition in this series

Reynolds keeps getting better

While the Revelation Space trilogy was really good, I felt it was bloated and boring at times. The Prefect stories have better pacing and this installment is in my opinion the best of them. Thank you Mr. Reynolds.

And so it ended

It was a long, interesting and twisting road. The ending was unexpected but also a little bit jarring, and i am not sure it was wholly in character. That being said Alistair Reynolds builds interesting worlds, deep and surprising characters and excellent action and suspense. I look forward to reading the main "Revelation Space" series.
