“Your name or so help me I’ll have it flogged out of you!”
The boy looked shocked and spoke angrily. “Flog? Flog? What kind of pirate ship is this?”
“PIRATE SHIP!” Captain Pelgrave exploded, causing more than one hand to wince but the boy stood his ground.
“Yes! First your men attack my brother and I whilst going about our lawful business, then you rob us and now you threaten flogging. What better description of a pirate ship could there be!”
By now the Captain was not only angry but exasperated as well. “YOUR NAME!”
“My name, Sir, is Greene. Miss. Charlotte. Elizabeth. Greene and I demand you ……”

Charlotte had been just 13 years of age when tragedy struck her family and she was left to look after and provide for her invalid mother and mentally disabled brother.
