Better than daytime TV
I saw mixed reviews for this book, so maybe it's not for everybody. I really liked it. Some repetition could have been edited better. The readers did a great job giving us multiple characters.

Great listen!
Surprisingly little loving by the lake, but there’s enough all things considered. The characters are older and spend most of their time telling stories. If you’re older, like maybe 50+, and maybe American, you should get all the old references.

A double memoir?
Seems to be a lot of true stories like my parents sometimes tell me. Some of the stories touch on famous events. Many are personal. Very entertaining.

Wonderful listen will keep you entertained and in a little fairytale of your own while you rest, do laundry or sit outside and enjoy the forest like the main character

Plenty to talk about
Not really a typical romance novel, but the stories sounded true to life although sometimes a bit extreme. I liked the different voices and sound FX. I'm recommending this to my audiobook club.

A movie for the ears

Loved the storyI
I stared listening to this in my car but found it better with ear buds at home. Lots of stuff going on in this book. It’s one long, slow story that’s actually many littler stories. Sound effects are okay and can also be appreciated more in ear buds.

Light and romantic
This book ended too soon for me. I wanted to hear more about the old timey days of the 1960s. I guess the more recent stories will be old timey stories someday for people like me. LOL.
