“Take a chance on reading the River Bend Chronicles. You won’t be disappointed. They are both intriguing with the mystery of the story with a little romance thrown in...”—A Reviewer

“Perhaps the best romance/mystery series I have ever read ...”
—Pamela Paige, former feature writer, Florida Times-Union

“I’m hooked ...”
—Martha Griswold, Online Critics Corner

Love Returns reignites an old romance. Phin McFadden, internationally experienced botanist returns to River Bend to take the job as the new director of the botanical gardens. He has a hidden agenda. He wants to return to River Bend to convince Harriette Mitchell that she should give him another chance to build a relationship. Along the road to romance, Dr. Dockery, retiring gardens’ director is murdered. Dusty and his team identify the suspect just as Lynn is stumbling on his dead body in a gardens’ greenhouse. Bodies are piling up in the greenhouses. The sheriff dies raising political complications for his succession. And Rachel Teague, with the help of her friends, is elected the mayor of River Bend. It’s a busy time as romance, murder and the Christmas holidays keep everyone occupied.

Renee Kumor was a stay-at-home mom for several years developing a personal ethic of community service. She began writing a political opinion column for the local newspaper, but retired from writing when she announced her candidacy for local political office. After eight years as a county commissioner, she returned to non-profit service and began writing a monthly column for the newspaper on non-profit management and service issues. The setting for the River Bend Chronicles’ series reflects her early life in Ohio and her later years in western North Carolina.
