I liked the narrator and thought she did a great job. The story was interesting, with lots of twist and turns.

A nervous bride hears her mother recount meeting her father

I had a hard time liking the main character. She seemed pretty helpless and I felt the narrators voice even conveyed that idea. I did enjoy all the fun British tidbits.

Different Book

This book was different than any other book I've read and I thought it was great! I loved the twist it took! The narrator did a wonderful job!

Good story, mediocre narrator

I really enjoyed this clean, suspenseful romance. The story was very enjoyable. Unfortunately the narrator wasn’t the most intriguing to listen to. The narration lacked inflection and variation.

Love story full of intrigue

Story: 4.5

Wow! That book was a roller coaster of uncertainty. It was a really good plot and kept pulling me deeper and deeper into the intrigue and wondering if our heroine would ever escape! Well-done, Ms. Burton!

(I took away half a star because there are some detailed descriptions that do absolutely nothing to further the plot or to help us delve deeper into a character. They aren’t bad, or anything, just superfluous.)

Very good voice, good inflections, good cadence. I’d happily listen to this narrator again! Well-done, Ms. Kaye
