How Jesus Loved God, Himself, and Others

Every Christian leadership development program should have a course entitled, “How to Love Others Well.” Understanding how to love others in a godly, healthy, empathetic way is the number one essential character quality of any leader in any capacity. Failure to follow Jesus’ model results in guilt, self-condemnation, burn-out, spiritual abuse, and lack of ministry effectiveness. Learning how to balance strategic planning goals while still caring for people is a complicated process. Evaluating whether you are doing it well is even more difficult. It’s not enough to have a compassionate heart to make a meaningful difference. . I will share observations of ways Jesus modeled loving God. Reflection questions give you an opportunity to uncover your beliefs and feelings about each observation. The challenge assignment leads you through the process of critiquing your style in comparison with Jesus’ model.
