Twelve years ago, Paulina was a high school senior with her whole life ahead of her. She had a loving boyfriend, and a full ride to the college of her dreams. But all that came to a halt when she found out that she was pregnant. She lost her scholarship, and her boyfriend abandoned her to raise their daughter alone. Being a single mom wasn’t easy. She put her dreams on hold and worked multiple jobs to raise her daughter while going to college part time. Now, after all these years, Paulina feels as if her life is finally getting back on track. She has a close relationship with the Most High, a new career as a teacher, and the steadfast support of her childhood friend, Douglas.

When Paulina joins a Torah Observant church, she runs into Luke, her ex-boyfriend and the father of her child. He seems determined to make up for lost time with his daughter, and before she knows it, Paulina finds herself spending the week of Sukkot with him and her new church family at a local campground. She wants to resent Luke, but the more she sees of him, the more she realizes that he is not the same boy who broke her heart all those years ago. Can she find it in her heart to forgive him? And will she be able to find love in the wilderness?
