Absolutely Glorious

I adored every minute of “Lost Giants.” Franklin writes with such knowledge, passion, and skill that during each chapter a new team’s world opened to me.

I am a Bristol City fan. So I have never had the excitement of having my team in the Premier League. But I am grateful for the vicarious roller coaster that Franklin describes. One sentence captures the book for me: “There was mud on the pitch, rust on the railings, and magic in the air.” Just glorious.

A note on the computer narration. I found it absolutely fine. I hate to see narrators lose work, but I am ignorant about the economics of producing an audiobook. So, if this way is necessary for certain books, I understand. The technology here is first class.
