PRESENT DAY
Many years later, at the age of seventy-five, it is time to embrace the highly emotional story of the woman she ultimately became. At the same time, she revisits her life's journey and also shares her present-day life.
Without a doubt, Mary Reilly's life is full of twists and turns as her numerous children and grandchildren grow up before her very eyes. They are forging into the future to create their own lives, and Mary stands to witness those moments as they unfold before her. Some of her loved ones will know great triumphs, while others will sadly encounter heartbreaking tragedies that, unfortunately, they are made to endure.
However, Mary now finds herself in a dire predicament as an old injury profoundly takes its toll on her mental health. She finds herself in the beginning stages of Dementia, and her life is going terribly awry. Her brother, Dr. George Bentley, sadly informs her that there is no cure for this condition, which puts Mary in a state of utter despair. Will she be able to withstand the changes that are slowly deteriorating her mind and affecting her usually calm and loving personality? It is extremely hard for her to imagine not being in complete control of her life.
So, here lies the final chapter of 'The Bentley Family Adventures,' where we delve into the story of a woman from whence it all began. Mary has experienced tremendous upheaval throughout her life but always remained steadfast in her faith in God, her loyalty to her family, and forging a life for herself, no matter if the odds were stacked against her. Still, she faces a significant trial that she has little to no chance of overcoming. Will her faith in God be enough to sustain her through it all?
Join Mary and her family as they struggle through all that comes with the dreaded diagnosis of Dementia. A horrific and heartbreaking condition that they are incredibly ill-prepared for. The challenges ahead of them are substantial, but hopefully, the intense love they have always shared for one another will sustain them through the many trials.
Along with Mary's narrative in this dramatic story, her daughter Rosie also shares in the storytelling. She candidly reveals her highly emotional viewpoint on what it is like to watch her once vibrant mum become utterly devastated when Dementia takes over her mind and daily life.
