another great one from Dan and John

More depth and detail on history of military fighters, battles and the pilots than I expected.

An exceptionally entertaining work of aviation.

If you have interest in aviation or military history, I highly recommend this work by Dan Hampton. The narration is pure entertainment matching the excellent content. I am a retired Air Force pilot well read in aviation yet discovered unusual factual material as a special treat. This is that rare audio title that will be occassionally repeated for its authentic content and exceptional enthusiastic narration. A pleasure to have both the audio and print versions of classic Dan Hampton!

Outstanding history of the fighter pilot

This book weaves histories of the pilots, planes, tactics, weapons and personal stories together in an informative and entertaining way. John Pruden's narration was very good.
A very good book combined with a very good narration yields a very pleasurable listen.

many great stories of brave individuals.

I really enjoyed this book it had a lot of great stories about a many individuals in history . this book help shed some light on some of their tails and gave me a lot of information about the equipment that was used. This book was very well narrated

A nice highlight of the fighter plane/pilot/tactic history.

I really enjoyed the mix of story telling and technical data. I was hoping to hear about my favorite American Ace Pappy Boyington (having grown up with black sheep squadron). But, you can't have it all. I learned a lot and got some perspective.

A good detailed easy to listen to the history of aviation fighters and the development of them from WW1 to Iraq.

I have listened to both Viper Pilot and Lords of the Sky and have pre ordered Hunter Killers. Dan Hampton is a superb author and Pruden is by far my favorite narrator on audible.
