Ava is in mortal danger. After three of the four wizards departed for Earth, the barrier between worlds has grown thin. With no warning or explanation rips between worlds suddenly appear, pulling Ava's inhabitants into the unknown or worse, pulling wildly dangerous aliens known as Lightning Beasts into an unsuspecting landscape.
Ava's only hope to stop the invasion is to reunite the four wizards. New High Mage Danny Barfield does not possess the strength to pull the Wizards back to Ava, someone must volunteer to travel to Earth and convince them to return. The dangerous mission falls upon the Lord of Rimrock, Gorrett Jinkelvine. He must traverse worlds, searching for the human woman he has come to love, for she is the last hope to save his home world.
