At the end of his final class, his instructor, Brad Green, offers him an opportunity to interview with him and his partners for a position as a veterinarian. As he meets the Green and Foster families, along with the other families in “The Fold”, he becomes intrigued with the closeness of the group. Having been raised in the foster system, he is easily drawn into the warmth and friendships of this extended family.
