Dr. Penny Sartori is a registered nurse who began researching Near Death Experiences (NDEs) in 1995 after one of her long-term intensive care patients begged her to let him die in peace. The event shook her deeply and eventually led her to enroll in a PhD program to research NDEs. The findings, along with the profound spiritual lessons that she has gleaned from her work, are published here. During her academic work, Dr. Sartori studied three samples of ICU patients during a five year period.

well done research
really well researched and worth a scientific approach. this isn't some woowoo account, but actual phenomenon recorded and dissected. I've been going a lot of research over the last year and I hope this type of research and outcomes continue to become available.

Very interesting
I found this book by accident so wasn’t sure if it was something I would enjoy. I’m love mistakes like this!! It definitely has me thinking.

A bigger story than NDE’s
I find audible books so rewarding in different ways from reading, as I did with this amazing book. What starts to be a review of NDE experiences by Debra Diamond ends up being a vast, yet specific and intelligent study of consciousness and why we hear more about NDE’s today and the purpose they serve to humanity. I will be thinking about this subject and information for a long time to come.

Yes and No
I loved the NDE stories and the presentation of the after-effects. That is what the book should have been about. The author spends too much time talking about herself at the start of the book and throughout. I was not interested in her journey into becoming a psychic because the title says: " Life After Near Death…". I could also have done without her readings. There was nothing revelatory or really specific about them. She did have many synchronicities and they were interesting to listen to.
I would love someone to do a book that is just about people who have had these experiences. That said, I have not found another book about this, so this may be the best for now.

Excellent!
I have been studying and researching NDE’s for the past few years and Debra Diamond did an excellent job combining in-depth research with intriguing and interesting experiences. I am so impressed with this book, I can’t wait to see what else she has written! I will definitely relisten to this as well as purchase a hard copy to use for reference.
