It continues God’s revelation of Himself in Genesis and Exodus. Leviticus is essentially the ‘handbook’ Israel needed to become a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. It is a picture of the seriousness of sanctification, the utter holiness of the LORD, the separation between us and God through sin, and it is a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ.
