Huggins makes the ridiculous seem credible.

OK, the premise of this book is almost absurd. The government is funding what as a weapon??

Once you get past that and put it firmly on ignore you can't help but get interested in the story and its non-stop action.

My only complaint might be it gets a little long winded at times, but the narrator keep you interested and I never wanted to stop listening.

Not as good as Hunter

I loved Hunter by the same author. This book was not nearly so polished as that. Many times the wording felt redundant and unnecessary. I feel like with some editing this could have been great. The book had the same things over and over and worded almost exactly the same. Yet in other spots, there seemed to be data missing. It felt choppy as a result.

The story was interesting and the creature scary enough. The people were intriguing. I enjoyed it. The language was fairly clean. For me it was just good enough for a credit but I am sure some would feel otherwise.

This one is different

I have listened to all the other Huggins audios and frankly thought this one might disappoint as the plot seemed a little far fetched. Still in this one he does a much better job than his usual in getting you to really like and understand the characters. You actually want them to win, not just expect them to.

As with all his books, the action is exciting, the science seems plausible, and the finish is satisfying.

This might actually end up as my favorite so far.
