they need presence.
They don’t need long speeches, but words rooted in respect, experience, and love.
“Letters to Mery: Advice from a Father” is born from that place.
This book is a collection of letters written by a father to his teenage daughter, sharing thoughtful reflections on growing up, making choices, facing fear, making mistakes, and learning how to stand back up. It speaks not from rigid authority, but from the quiet strength of someone who walks alongside rather than ahead.
It is written primarily for parents of teenagers who want to guide without imposing, and also for adults who still carry conversations with their younger selves. Each letter invites reflection, pause, and meaningful dialogue.
What will you find in this book?
- Clear, human advice on self-esteem, responsibility, and decision-making
- Reflections on fear, social pressure, failure, and personal integrity
- Messages that strengthen the bond between parents and children—without moralizing
- An intimate, honest, and respectful tone that is easy to read and revisit
Unlike many parenting books, this is not a manual filled with methods or theories. It does not speak about teenagers—it speaks to them. Every letter feels like a real conversation, free from clichés or forced sentimentality, grounded in lived experience and emotional authenticity.
This is not a how-to guide.
It is an emotional legacy.
A book you can read from beginning to end, or open at random—like receiving the right letter at the right moment.
If you are a parent, this book may help you put into words what you feel but struggle to say.
If you were once a teenager, you may find here the words you once needed to hear.
“Letters to Mery” doesn’t try to teach you how to live—it walks with you along the way.
