Imagine that you have arrived in an area of a product development company that you have never visited before, you don’t know what they do, but your job is to work out how they can do it better; cut out the issues with their way of working and make it more streamlined. This is not a trivial task. How are you going to do we do this?

The approach is simple and repeatable. We know that the most streamlined processes are the ones that comply with the behavioral model that we uncovered in part 1. We simply compare real implementations to the model, look for the gaps, and when we find gaps, we fix them. This is a repeatable approach for all products and everywhere within the product development process.

I have spent many years doing the type of job where we do business analysis to look for issues with the current way of working and implement computer systems to update an area of a company. This is my opportunity to share my proven approach. I hope you find this useful.
