Acerca de esta escucha
There’s nothing quite like seeing a child’s entrepreneurial endeavor be shut down by police officers or bureaucrats. But while that child’s hope for a quick buck may be dashed, their experience provides them - and you, through this audiobook - invaluable insights into government and law.
Are all laws legitimate? And does winning a popularity contest (also called an election) give somebody the authority to boss you around? What if the government outlaws something you need to do? Is it okay to break the law if doing what’s right has been classified as wrong?
Surprising, engaging, and filled with examples, Lessons from a Lemonade Stand offers essential answers for teenagers and adults looking to better understand the world we live in.
"The ideas of freedom can heal our world and improve our lives. Lessons from a Lemonade Stand provides an ample supply of this much-needed medicine. My prescription for the rising generation? Read this book!" - Lawrence W. Reed, president of the Foundation for Economic Education
"Take all the sweet platitudes you’ve ever heard about government - these wise public servants are innocently pursuing the common good! Government gets its just powers from our consent! - roll them into a ball, and throw them away. In their place, read Lessons from a Lemonade Stand, which contains more plain truth about the nature of government than any student ever heard in what we laughingly call our institutions of higher learning." - Tom Woods, New York Times best-selling author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History

Do you need parenting advice on how to inspire your child to love learning? Whether you homeschool, or send your kids to public or private school, this is essential listening for your situation. Why? Because schooling has become a disaster. Your child's interests and uniqueness are disregarded, and structured curriculum and standards like Common Core place them on a conveyor belt that treats all children the same. This system crushes a child's curiosity. Your child deserves better!

Tens of millions of Americans owe a combined $1.5 trillion in debt for student loans. Much of this staggering expense has been unnecessary. Attending college is more of a tradition - a cultural rite of passage - than a necessary step toward a successful career, thus not justifying its steep cost. As countless entrepreneurs and creative hustlers have shown, there is a path to success outside of the institutions of so-called higher learning.

In American Marxism, Mark Levin explained how Marxist ideology has invaded our society and culture. In doing so, he exposed the institutions, scholars, and activists leading the revolution. Now, he picks up where he left off: to hold responsible the true malefactors steering our country down the wrong path. Insightful and hard-hitting as ever, Levin proves that since its establishment, the Democrat Party has set out to rewrite history and destroy the foundation of freedom in America.

The left is waging an all-out battle on the American family, particularly the youngest members. If they can make our children miserable, lead them to question every building block of society, and rebuild their entire concept of reality, then the left and their woke indoctrinators will consider that a victory. But we can't let them win. As concerned parents and American citizens, we have to understand what's truly going on before we can do something about it. Stolen Youth provides an urgent deep dive into issues surrounding the current woke indoctrination happening.

This is an easily digestible argument about what rights we have, what rights Republicans are trying to take away, and how to stop them. Mystal explains how to protect the rights of women and people of color instead of cowering to the absolutism of gun owners and bigots. He explains the legal way to stop everything from police brutality to political gerrymandering, just by changing a few judges and justices. He strips out all of the fancy jargon conservatives like to hide behind and lays bare the truth of their project to keep America forever tethered to its slaveholding past.

In a world of infinite information and propaganda screaming at us from every direction, the truth is of paramount importance to our mental health, and can be a matter of life and death for every person on this planet. In The Propaganda Project, I expose the tricks of the propagandist--the tricks needed to legitimize the illegitimate, to make us think up is down, black is white. I dig deep into the muck to extract the truth about government, and the financial interests pulling the strings.

Many have said that police just need to enforce the law because they are law enforcement. Chief Culp says "that’s not true". Who is right? This book is a call to return to our American roots; to remember our heritage and birthright. Most importantly, it is a reminder that our oaths are binding, and we have a responsibility to ourselves and our posterity to honor them. Douglas Hogan writes in a style that is both direct and candid. No words are minced; there is no "beating around the bush" or "tip-toeing through tulips". Douglas says what he means, and his incredible passion is ample evidence that he means what he says.

This book clearly and concisely illustrates the realities of state government. In it, the author gives concrete examples of government overreach and of appropriate resistance to thus.
