Peter is a remarkable character. An amazing person whose rollercoaster life stands as an encouragement to us. Even though we are not always what we should be, Christ is always what He should be—the Lord of our hearts who never gives up on us—our Savior who forgives our sins and keeps us in His Father’s will. But not only is Peter’s life a wonderful example of how loving our God is, Peter himself writes to encourage us. Peter will instruct us, teach us, challenge us, and encourage us. I pray that you will open your heart to this wonderful book of 1st Peter, written by a man called by Christ. A man who confessed the truth of who Christ was, and a man who was commissioned to teach us the way of salvation, and help us to stand fast in true grace.
