On the sacred Sunday, of all days, butcher Alfred Grube is struck dead in his butcher shop, with a meat hammer. When they hear about it, Soko Norddeich is in shock, as they are just having a nice roast dinner at Oma Gerda´s place, provided for by Grube. It´s especially hard for Agneta, because she is a vegetarian and can, under no circumstances, inspect the scene of the crime. In the first instance she even refuses to work the case. Thekla, Okko, Siggi and Herbert investigate within Grube´s social surroundings. Was he indebted? Was he cheating on his wife, Mariechen? They are searching for the proverbial needle in the haystack, and unearth number of unpleasant truths.
