A Zero Hero’s Guide to Self-Acceptance and Personal Empowerment

In this inspirational cross between self-help and memoir, Chad Michael Hardy chronicles his journey from a strict Mormon upbringing to self-acceptance and true authenticity. Facing discrimination and a crisis of faith due to living inauthentically, Hardy embraced the transformative law of Zero to get unstuck, find balance, and unlock infinite potential.

Now, he reveals how you can do the same through five entry points: Seek Awareness, Secure Alignment, Take Ownership, Release to Receive, and Engage Power. Here are just some of the many powerful lessons he presents:

• Self-awareness is crucial for breaking free from victimhood and finding new perspectives on life.
• Releasing negative beliefs, stories, and judgments that limit your True Self is essential for personal growth.
• Taking ownership of your trauma and forgiving those who have caused harm cultivates self-love, empathy, renewal, and freedom from pain.

Hardy shares his unfiltered story and the life-changing effects of the law of Zero to guide anyone struggling with identity and societal expectations to embrace their authentic self, unleash their sacred power, and find lasting healing and happiness.

Law of Zero is a fantastic memoir that paints a beautiful picture of how one person’s fortune AND misfortune shapes them into the perfectly imperfect person they are today, have been, and will be. Like a snake shedding its skin, it takes what it takes.

Chad implores us to discover our own authentic self by finding balance in our lives through the five entry points to Zero: seek awareness, secure alignment, take ownership, release to receive, and engage power.

This life is a personal journey and there is no “one size fits all” way to get through it. We must each trust our own MAGIC to discover our personal Truth. Chad shares with us how he discovered (and I am sure, still discovering) his Truth with hope to help others find their own.

Mr Hardy provides concepts of Zero with the backdrop of coming of age “gates” that were very familiar to many of us. His honesty and self reflection was refreshing. His grace and warmth for many circumstances and people that I could relate to meant a lot to me. I enjoyed hearing how he has chosen to piece together a framework that is very personal and offers listeners something sound to adopt for themselves with enough room to make the concepts their own. I don’t like the notion of trigger warnings but I have to say his writing was articulate enough that it has lasted with me and frankly caught me off guard and my heart aches. Still. But isn’t that why you’d read something like this? He took me there. Oddly I do remember some of the calendar scandals and the play by play was fascinating.

The Law of Zero isn’t just a book, it’s a reframe of reality. And in audio form, it becomes something even more immersive. With razor-sharp insight and poetic clarity, it dares to ask the questions most of us are too busy or too afraid to face. And then? It answers them. Boldly. Brilliantly. And in a way that sticks to your soul.

The premise alone is arresting: that true power is found not in accumulation, but in the surrender to nothingness. That zero isn’t absence; it’s origin. From the first moment, the narration pulls you into a new mental operating system where ego dissolves, clarity cuts through chaos, and peace becomes your default setting.

Every chapter feels like a deep breath you didn’t know you needed. It’s philosophy that sounds like a conversation with your highest self. Spiritual, yes; but grounded. Practical, yet profound. You don’t just listen to The Law of Zero. You absorb it.

If you’re ready to let go of the noise, the striving, and the clutter that clouds your potential—this audiobook is your gateway. It’s not just a must-listen. It’s a must-relisten, pause-and-reflect, carry-with-you kind of experience.

Five stars isn’t enough. The Law of Zero is a modern classic and the audio version makes it unforgettable.

Back to Zero: Why This Audiobook Will Reset Everything You Thought You Knew

Chad is a very gifted writer and I enjoyed reading his book. Although I understand that the stories shared therein about his Mormon upbringing and affiliation are important to the context of rediscovering one''s "capital T" truth and authenticity, the book itself focuses far too much on the Mormon church and its shadiness, rather than the incredible beauty and mind boggling way the universe works to bring about change. In essence, the book reads more like an autobiography of Chad's life and his entanglement with the LDS church. I was hoping for less Mormon stories and more of the profound works of Zero or Source. For the record, I am not a member of the LDS church but do appreciate the honesty and vulnerability that Chad shared in overcoming his many tribulations with it.
