Ignacio Padilla was born in Mexico City and is the author of several award-winning novels and short-story collections. The Washington Post has called Padilla a "brilliant young writer."
Las antípodas y el siglo is the first collection of his short fiction that has also been translated into English. These 12 stories run the gamut from the North to the South poles. A common theme is adventurous men, exploring the depths and heights of the earth - from the Gobi Desert to Mt. Everest.
