Very detailed

If you want to know in depth details of this expedition including some sad and triumphant endings, this book is for you.

Slow Start-Strong Finish

I had a hard time getting started on this book but after the story got into the expedition’s actual travels and daily life it really got good and was hard to put down. Excellent read.

I don’t like that I am forced to do this!
I listen after I go to bed. Sometimes I fall asleep,so I have to go back and listen. All of this is causing me to have to review before I am finished.

So good.

I steer clear of books like this, but this story was gripping....through the whole book. The narrator did a great job and wasn’t distracting. The way the story was presented was easy to follow with descriptive details that sucked you into being there. Ugh the story is just heart wrenching at times.

if you can make it passed the narration, the story is wonderfully written. very informative. narration lacks luster. still I would recommend.

Very Good, but not the best of them.

The book was very good, Well worth the read if you're interested In books about overcoming hardships In the Antarctic, or Arctic condition. I reiterate, it was very good, but it simply doesn't hold up to the story called Endurance which is in my opinion one of the all kinds best ever written books on this subject.

A life worth writing about!

Heard about this book on the Meateater podcast and had to get it immediately! Great story, very well written and read! I enjoyed it very much and it certainly puts my daily struggles in perspective. Thanks! Now I'm on to more books by Buddy Levy....

superb in every way

extraordinary book in all ways. The story is a little known disaster that is amazing tale of tragic loss marked by both the nest and worst of humanity. The story ranks up there with the Endeavor. the recording was very good and the narrator's performance was first rate.

So glad I selected this book, well written and narrated. Long, but time flew by as this true story unfolded.
