Jiménez Enoa forma parte de una nueva camada de narradores cubanos. Pese a que el Gobierno le retuvo el pasaporte hasta 2022 como réplica a su actividad periodística, siguió describiendo con franqueza aquello que veían sus ojos y ganó diversos premios internacionales de periodismo. El autor vive ahora una suerte de exilio en Barcelona y nos ofrece uno de los libros definitivos sobre la Cuba reciente.
