Resumen del Editor

The year is 2065. Earth is overpopulated and our resources, spent.

Our last hope is to colonize the moon. Called the Haven Project - an experiment designed to transform the lunar grit into a rich oasis.

Unfortunately, in our haste to create a new world we created our worst enemy - LYCCYX.

Glad to HEAR it after reading it.

What did you love best about LYCCYX Episode 1: The Declaration?

Thing I like about this book series is that it is designed to be done in one sitting. The book is setup in a journal entry format. I like this style for this kind of scifi genre because it helps me understand the perspective from Zander, Kate and other characters. More so the main character.

What was one of the most memorable moments of LYCCYX Episode 1: The Declaration?

The scene where Zander and his foe meet up and are faced to either fight or let one another go. The two friends have two agendas that butt heads. It's great to see the intensity build.

Have you listened to any of Mike Paine’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I actually listened to Ep. 2 before Ep. 1...so yeah technically I have. Mike has a nice radio voice that IMO fits well with the story. I'm not bored or anything like that and my attention is kept.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The hard decision to fight his friend because there is a higher cause.

Any additional comments?

I'm looking forward to more installments.

Narration amateurish

I tried. I thought this might make an interesting story, however I felt the narration was very amateurish. I felt like I was being told the story, rather than shown, and although there is only 45 minutes to this audible title, I gave up. I just wasn't interested.

Wow, just wow.

What disappointed you about LYCCYX Episode 1: The Declaration?

There are many things about this book that are just bad.
1) The narrator seems to be on a speaker phone held up to a microphone.
2) The main character of the book blacked out a few times to wake up in a safe and other people fill him in on what happened. Once he was in the office of the main bad guy and passed out only to wake up in the hospital because he was rescued without the bad guy knowing.

What was most disappointing about Brian Barber’s story?

Pretty much all of it.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The way it was recorded. I could hear papers or other background noise.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
