An 11 year old boy goes missing from the livestock barns at the Oregon State Fair and a mysterious, evil looking, goat is somehow suspected of being involved. When the authorities are legally unable to follow the evidence across the international border into Mexico, the Mortem ad Malum Ministry is called into action to find him. Led by a retired Marine Corps Colonel who has taken vows as a Catholic priest and authorized by the Vatican as a ministry against evil, assisted by a woman with a PhD in Folklore and Mythology, including a mystifying person with supernatural powers, and a retired firefighter, the team takes on the challenge.
Why was the boy abducted, and what plans do the kidnappers have for the young victim? The Mortem ad Malum team sneaks into Mexico on a pretext, where they find the young boy in dire straits and struggle to free him from his vicious captors who have specific plans for their victim.
