On the planet of Higo, without the guidance of the Great Spirits, its people are descending into religious civil war. Baiyren Tallaenaq, Prince of Higo, is exiled after causing the death of his mother. Freed from his responsibilities and the looming war, he steals their greatest weapon - a giant, sentient armoured suit - and uses it to open a portal to a world he never knew existed. A world called Earth...home of a magical young woman called Keiko.

Some characters seem to have a random amount of magic at random times. No details on the exact origins/creation of several main characters magic or magical items after foreshadowing details later on.
The author gives no/bad explanations on portal tech and mecha tech, as examples off the top of my head. I mean seriously I’ve got like a million questions about the mechs, and those are just the basic questions. Obvious ones like they are meant to be guards for gods but what/who/how?
One main character in particular does a complete 180 on something they seem to hold as a core belief, that has been brought up constantly, out of no where in the last 1/3 of the book.
The main villain(s) of the first 1/2-2/3 of the book are HORID, DISGUSTING, BACKSTABBING, ASS WEASELS. By the end of the book they not only get a stupid redemption arc, but are completely 100% forgiven by mc(s). Wtf? These people are the absolute worst, throw them in a fire, don’t make them awesome by the end.
During the climax several characters make perplexing decisions. A couple are even mentioned by other characters. As if a character asking or bringing it up without answers is explanation enough.
But like I said the ideas were great too bad it was a dud.
1/10 won’t listen again.
I am disappointed by every letter of this book.😔😒
