A test of my morality comes when a Lycan child crosses our border one day, and instead of killing it, I set it free. I am rewarded by the Lycans, but I have flouted the law I’ve so carefully followed for centuries.

I almost believed no one would discover my indiscretion when Arthur, a sinister Hunter tasked with finding vampires who have broken the laws, arrives at our castle. Then my best friend, Olivier, is recruited by Arthur, and I am all but certain I have been discovered.

I only have one option left.

Fleeing from the castle, I by chance befriend a Lycan named Knight. We can hardly stand being in the same room as each other, but there’s something about him that I cannot ignore. I eventually find myself in a town ruled by vampires, and run by a volatile vampire called James.

As James begins to exert control over me, the only way I can escape is with Knight by my side, and I am not sure I’m prepared to discover what is growing between us. But one foe can only be replaced by another, and while the dangers of James are bad enough, with the Hunters still searching for me, it might just be the safest place to be.

GREAT START TO THE SERIES

Wow! First time listening to both author and narrator and l am wholly satisfied. The story is a real pageturner and the narrator does a great job with a beautiful voice. lm going to start book 2 straight away. Recommended.

I found this highly entertaining. I couldn't stop listening to it. Highly recommend it. I started the second book as soon as I finished this one.

Loved it so much!

I absolutely loved this book so much I kept cleaning my house so I could finish listening to it all in 1 day. I had already read the book but having the audible saved me today and I got to listen to an awesome story I knew I loved while doing the 1 dreaded task I hate the most. Made my day so much brighter!

Great vampire story!

I really enjoyed this clean vampire story! The narrator did a great job and the author created a detailed world of vampires and likens. It’s an intriguing start to a saga I look forward to continue reading! I was very glad there was no witchcraft or spells involved!

Loved this story

Fast paced. Clear narrative. Though it had a cliffhanger ending which is annoying, but I am hoping there is a future for Knight and Lisbet.

A interesting opening to a vampire series. Well worth listening to, and now started the next part, equally as captivating.

I enjoyed this audio book a lot. I was lucky to have run across this series because it is really enjoyable. Ellora is a great narrator and I am going to start book 2 in a few hours

I just enjoyed this series so easily. Great narration and an automatic download every time it came for a next book purchase! I definitely recommend this series for any fantasy, vampire, adventure fan:)!

Unique

I was shocked at how something so simple puts her life in danger. So many questions. I was drawn in by her character and the things she faces plus her decisions to those. Enjoyable and intriguing read. Look forward to more! The narrator is new to me but I enjoyed very much.
