Acerca de esta escucha

Pierre Dudas believes he has collected wondrous African animals for his 'Creatures Never Before Seen' exhibit for the Paris ‘Exposition Universelle’ of 1900. He hopes his animals will cause the same excitement as the Eiffel Tower did for the 1889 World’s fair. Then he meets American cowboy Colton Maguire in a Paris restaurant. Colton has just returned from a failed safari in south central Africa- his entire party of experienced hunters were wiped out by a mysterious giant ape. Pierre decides he must have this ape as the centerpiece of his exhibit. He will be the talk of Paris, the nation, even the world when everyone sees this titan.

Already returning to Africa to pick up the final shipment of animals, Pierre decides to make an attempt at capturing this giant ape. Along with a pair of big game hunters and a veterinarian, Pierre convinces a reluctant Colton to take them to where the other hunters hunted the giant ape.

Back in Paris, Pierre’s plans for an exhibit with no cage for the giant ape go horribly wrong as 1899 Paris and Africa’s apex hunter collide when King Gor escapes. With two rich board members of the Paris zoo trying to thwart their efforts, Pierre and Colton work to return King Gor back to Africa before anyone else is killed.

King Gor remembers when he was first brought to the jungle from across the water. Since that time decades ago he ha grown in size to where none of the other animals threaten him. The only animals to interact with him are elephants, who has befriended. The natives who he tries to interact with (actually its more light-hearted pestering) tend to also give him a wide berth. When a group of lighter colored natives arrive in the jungle, he expects them to act the same way, but they do not. He deals with them violently so they can never hurt him again. When another group shows up, they catch him unawares and he is taken to a strange land across another water. Now he wants desperately to find a way home to his jungle. When two of the light colored natives appear to be friendly, he begins to think they can help him return home.
