“Kincade coiled like a rattler…” Lacho’s eyes darted to a pistol not six feet from Kincade’s boots. It might be the bandit’s only chance. He lunged. Kincade jerked his Colt. Picking up his Winchester, Kincade fired the entire magazine of remaining cartridges into the pooled explosive. Lacho shouted at the top of his lungs, hoping that she would hear him. “Vengeme, Brujita, venge mi muerte!” Avenge me, little Bruja, avenge my death!
