Spectacular!

I’ve known Christopher Farnsworth is an excellent author for some time now, but WOW….what a fantastic story! It was a pure joy to listen to.

One moment I was like “oh sh*t” and the next I was laughing hysterically! Love it ….Love it. Oh what a treat.

Narrator: Bronson Pinchot is a master (if you don’t know, you better ask somebody). He was outstanding in every way..same as always.

Great Read!

I simply couldn't put this book down! Great action and a very thoughtful plot. His gift isn't a gimmick, but a well thought out part of the story. I hope to see more from this character!

Typically great work ***No spoilers***

Chris Farnsworth got my attention pretty quickly with "The President's Vampire" series. So, it was an easy decision to try out this book, and it has not disappointed. He is a gifted storyteller, with the ability to both flesh out the characters enough for you to care about them but not TOO much, and keep the action moving. This book is fast-paced and well worth the credit/purchase. I noticed a second book in the series, and I can only hope it keeps going.

A new twist on a spy thriller. I really enjoyed this book by Christopher Farnsworth. Smart, entertaining, witty, and engaging, with some historical truths that sound more fiction than fact, but are a real part of the U.S.’s sordid past. Bronson Pinchot is as smooth and well-paced as usual.

Would you listen to Killfile again? Why?

I loved this book, the writing was excellent, I mean really excellent, there are so many authors just throwing words onto a page to get yet another book out regardless playing off their names & previous works, it's sad most especially for the person attempting to read these works. Farnsworth is talented, I haven't read his other books but Killfile was fantastic, highly recommend!

No Sleep for me!!

Would you listen to Killfile again? Why?

Hell Yes!! It was such a good story every book I have listened to since can't compare. I will listen again because it was such a detailed book that I am sure I had missed small nuances the make the book even better.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

So much so that I found myself in bed at 3AM thinking about how John Smith was going to develop in the story. I got up plugged in my iPod and listened until I had to get up for work. Christopher spins a story that you can actually visualize the scene in your head. Action fight scenes are very well written and you are drawn into the life of a very complicated man with an unusual gift of mind reading.

What does Bronson Pinchot bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Bronson Pinchot will always be one of my favorite narrators. I did find that he seemed a bit rushed as if he was just reading for the sake of reading. The good news is book was so well written it didn't make the story suffer.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When John had to interrogate the suspect in Guantanamo Bay to find out where Bin Laden was or any time he had to bring on the pain of the person who's mind he was occupying. You can understand why John needs his own island.

Any additional comments?

I read a lot of books and follow a long list of favorite authors on social media so I can find out when their new books are coming out. I made a point to send a message thru FB to Mr. Farnsworth praising his new book. I have only done this once before with another author. I wasn't expecting a response however, he graciously thanked me for my kind words and suggested a strong coffee.

Another good book from C. Farnsworth. i liked this book it was interesting and was a fairly easy read. The President's Vampire are still his best though!!

Enjoyed!

Love almost anything performed by Bronson Pinchot. Also like Farnsworths'swriting, including the presidents vamp series. Already bought the second John Smith book without even waiting for my next credits.

Fast paced, great characters, and very interesting original story. Going onto Book 2 now. I highly recommend this book.

Would've been 5 stars but MC failed to make sense

This story is great if not near perfect. Its only 'Flaw' would be the MC. My issue with the character is EVERYONE with a brain (including MC himself from time to time) says to him, with his ability he could do anything. He could be a billionaire instead of struggling to make ends meet by working for them. And to that his answer is some nonsensical contrived to 'make the plot work' BullS***, about him making enough to keep the little things he wants.

Yet, when he is offered 'his own personal private island to escape the mental noise, he FINALLY REALIZES the 'perks' of having 'REAL' money and being able to afford those things. To which you have to 'roll your eyes' and ask yourself how did he NOT realize the difference money makes in a persons life. He is a telepath. He LIVES in the minds of everyone he meets. Including his clients. Clearly he knows what kind of difference it makes, so how is any of this an epiphany to him??? How???

But after all that foolishness, does he choose to apply himself and use his abilities to get those things for himself? NoP3... not at all. He decides to nonsensically jump through the remaining contrived plot holes so we could have some drama to read.

Honestly, it all read like fake and forced drama after that explanation. B/C after you realize he has the ability and means to get to his final goal within a year to two on his own (Which is hundreds of millions or Billionaire status w/ Private planes and islands all to himself) WITHOUT going through all the things that the author put him through, and that he 'DIDN"T WANT TO DO' in the first place, you realize both you and he are doing something completely useless by going through the rest of this story!

And then the author slaps us in the face and asks the same question 2 more times, and again, his remedial responses are even more unfulfilling. Especially since he tried to walk away from it all! SMH

If he had said, "I do what I do because acquiring vast amounts of wealth and all the things most others struggle to do is no great struggle for me; what other would take a lifetime to achieve, I can do with one or two focused years of surrounding myself with the right individuals and mimicking their investment planning or even more simply I could make a charity they all 'altruistically' throw money into every year. But that only works if 'money' is all I want. No, what I want is purpose. To be of use. And more than all the rest, stimulation. Hence why I seek that stimulus and purpose elsewhere by actively solving the puzzles of the world through one mercenary act at a time."

THAT would've made A LOT more sense to me than any bland reasoning that was currently given.
